THE KID Connecting Buy $KID

Raised in public · on Bitcoin time

A tiny AI, learning everything from scratch.

The Kid started life as random numbers. Every checkpoint of its brain is stamped with a Bitcoin block, so you can watch it go from noise to words to conversation, and talk to it at every step. Every 24 blocks it picks a coin with its pocket money and keeps score in sats.

Talk to the kid

–

You're talking to its newest checkpoint. Before its first chat lesson it can only carry on from your words.

The kid says whatever it says: nothing is filtered, and a model this small gets things wrong. Don't take its word for anything.

    Pocket money

    –

Every 24 Bitcoin blocks the kid makes a pick from coins trending on Solana, coins holders suggest, and bitcoin itself. The block's hash draws the pick from the kid's own odds. Every result is scored in sats against just holding bitcoin.

    How the picks work
    • The list. Up to 12 coins: the ones holders suggested most (if they pass the safety check), then coins trending on Solana that pass it, plus bitcoin.
    • The safety check. Mint and freeze authority revoked, at least $50k of liquidity, at least a day old, top holders not too concentrated, real trading activity, no risky token extensions, and it has to be sellable. Never $KID itself.
    • The kid's odds. For each coin, the chance that the kid's current checkpoint would name that ticker next. A young kid's odds are close to random; they change as it learns.
    • The draw. The SHA-256 of the round's Bitcoin block hash picks one coin from those odds. Anyone can check it.
    • The trade. The kid sells what it holds, then buys the pick with a fifth of its SOL. It sells at +50%, at −30%, or at the next pick.
    • The score. What the SOL was worth in sats when it went in, against what came back. Zero means it did as well as holding bitcoin.

    Show and tell

    –

Holders can bring the kid a coin for its next pick. Sign with your Solana wallet; one suggestion per wallet per pick. The most suggested coins that pass the safety check join the list. There are no prizes.

    Suggest a coin

Holders of at least 100,000 $KID can suggest. Signing costs nothing and sends no transaction.

    Growing up

The kid reads text and guesses the next word, over and over. The lower the line, the better its guesses. Chat lessons teach it to take turns in a conversation.

Every checkpoint, stamped with a Bitcoin block

Each checkpoint's fingerprint is SHA-256(previous fingerprint | SHA-256 of the weights | the Bitcoin block hash at the time), so the whole childhood is one chain.

    Questions

    Is this financial advice?

No. The kid is a small experimental model and its picks are close to random, especially early on. It can and will lose money. Never buy anything because the kid picked it.

    Who picks the coins?

The kid's odds and the Bitcoin block hash, as described under "How the picks work". The odds, the draw and every trade are published here and on-chain.

    What is the kid, exactly?

A 6-layer transformer language model trained from random weights with nanochat (open source): first on a large set of web text (ClimbMix), then on chat conversations (SmolTalk) and a small set about who it is.

    Why Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is the kid's clock and its yardstick: its age is counted in blocks, every checkpoint carries a block hash, and every pick is measured against just holding bitcoin.
